Iconography
Iconography
Iconography in film is used to describe the visual language of cinema, it is meant to represent something in a film that has significant meaning to the film itself and it capitalizes on the setting of the film.
Horror
Different genres have different iconography in them. For example a horror film might have ghosts, vampires, zombies, masked killers, crypts, graveyards, screaming victims, weapons and more sorts of iconography that are obviously meant to represent horror.
Western
In Western films we usually see gunslingers, cowboys, deserts, tumbleweed, horses, ranches, bars all that give the Old West type of feel to a film which is what iconography is meant to represent.
Action/Adventure
You will see high speed car chases, explosion, fights, weapons and fearless characters that do insane things in order to achieve a certain goal
Iconography In my Film
The Iconography in my film, is various things like a basketball, a computer, a phone all which are used as a distraction during my film about procrastination, also the main thing being a notecard that constantly reminds the main character of my film that he has work to do but despite the constant lingering reminder he chooses to ignore it entirely.
